With the encouragement and the support of His Holiness the Catholicos Aram I, the family of Vosgueperan Arzoumanian established an educational fund in 2007 in the name of the deceased.
The Objective
The objective of the Fund is to provide material support to the brightest and the most underprivileged students from the final three grades in the Armenian schools so that they can realize their dreams and build a successful future. It is worth mentioning that since its establishment, many students have already been granted this scholarship.
Application Process
At the beginning of each year, the application process is announced through the media, and the students send their applications to the Catholicosate. Afterward, the decision-making committee carefully studies each application and arrives at their respective decision.
The Requirements for the Scholarship Recipients
Students receiving this scholarship will have to commit to the following requirements. Firstly, they must become a member of the Armenian Church University Students’ Association (ACUSA) during their years of study. After graduating, and per the duration of their scholarship, they must serve without compensation for any of their chosen Armenian national institutions or unions, whether in Lebanon or elsewhere. This point is significant in instilling in the students the importance of serving our nation’s prosperity.
