BRIEF BIOGRAPHICAL OUTLINE OF
VOSGUEPERAN ARZOUMANIAN

Mr. Vosgueperan Arzoumanian was born in 1924 in Turkey to parents from Yozgat province. While under 40-day old, his parents moved to Beirut. In 1958 he married Shakeh Mahdesian, also from Yozgat province, and they had four children: Lalig, Hourig, Vartkes, and Palig.

He studied at the Institute of Oriental Letters (abbreviated to ILO) of Saint Joseph University and received a degree in Armenian studies and oriental sociology. Afterward, he continued his education and received a degree in Business Law from the faculty of Law and Economics of the same University.

After 2 years of tenure as a teacher at The College of Saint Gregory the Illuminator (the Armenian Jesuits Mission), he worked at the financial department under the French protectorate for a short period.

MEDAL OF THE PRINCE OF CILICIA

As a testament to Mr. Vosgueperan Arzoumanian’s dedicated service of many decades and his immeasurable contributions, he is awarded by a Pontifical Edict with the Medal of the Prince of Cilicia, the highest honor granted by the Catholicosate of the Great House of Cilicia.

MEDAL OF THE NATIONAL ORDER OF THE CEDAR WITH THE HIGHEST GRADE OF AN “OFFICER”

Owing to his position in the general administrative management of Saint Joseph French University for many years and to his service and committed work during his whole life, he received the Medal of the National Order of the Cedar with the highest grade of an “Officer”.

MEDAL OF THE NATIONAL ORDER OF THE CEDAR WITH THE GRADE OF “KNIGHT”

For his tireless endeavors of many decades, Mr. Vosgueperan Arzoumanian was awarded the Medal of the National Order of the Cedar with the grade of “Knight” by the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Lebanon.

Pope Jean Paull II presented a gift of appreciation and remembrance to Mr. Vosgueperan Arzoumanian.

CERTIFICATE OF APPRECIATION FROM SAINT JOSEPH UNIVERSITY

The certificate of appreciation was presented to Mr. Vosgueperan Arzoumanian for his 42 years of service by Saint Joseph University and Jesuits Mission.
